sonic youth to CHILE and Southamerica

I think this is the year for Sonic Youth to finally come to Southamerica.
We are waiting for you desperately here in Chile.

Any indie fest in SA this year ? I think SY would play only in fests,like the Claro E Rock in Brazil...or I'm wrong?

Yeah, I think it's about time that they finally come to play to this country this year. I've been whinning (sp?) about this since ye olde sy forum in 2001, heh I still remember the excitement of some of the members when NYCG&F had just been released!

Sonic Youth ha estado en Argentina (me parece que solo una vez)
y en un par de festivales realizados en Brasil..."Free Jazz" y "Claro E Rock"
ambos con respetable cantidad de publico...me da la impresion que al show en Argentina fueron menos de 3,000 personas...quiza por lo que no era un festival...

Sinceramente no se que tan posible sea que SY visite Chile...quizas si algun festival indie pudiera ser organizado en Santiago...no lo se...algo parecido al "Claro E Rock" de Brasil...

es verdad solo tocaron 1 vez en Buenos Aires.
Fue en un festival llamado "Primavera Alternativa"
fue en Octubre del 2000 . Como llovio esa noche, mamadera!
y habia bastante gente como 6000 personas.

Por suerte los pude ver en Londres en el 2004 cuando presentaron "Sonic Nurse" y quise ir a verlos en el 2005 al Claro E rock pero el mismo dia tocaron Mudhoney y PJ en Porto Alegre. Me tenia que partir en dos para ir a verlos.
Hasta donde yo se hay un rumor de que vengan a Brasil y Argentina en Junio
para que presenten Daydream Nation Deluxe pero por ahora nada....
cuando sepa algo mas concreto te chiflo esta bien?

Espero que se concrete...si es un poco mas al norte,como Colombia o Peru,tanto mejor...o Chile.

...Colombia tiene algunos festivales indi bien interesantes...si Bjork estuvo por alla,por que no SY ?
