Just finished reading, quite good but didn't really find anything new in it that I didn't already know. A good one for new fans to read if they want to know more about the history of the most important band of the 20th century.

i found it used on amazon for cheap. it's outdated, since it is with them while they're recording experimental jet set, but it's still and interesting read, and the pictures are really great

Yeah...

It's out in September, according to Amazon, though might be best not to hold your breath. Apparently his upcoming book on Nirvana is something like 15 months overdue.

I really dug the parts where they explained the early background of each member, but I didnt really like the book as a whole. I found it really boring. Which is weird because I LOVE Sonic Youth and other band biographies I just couldn't put down! I found Confusion Is Next slow and boring! I dont care about Experimental, Jet Set, Trash and No Star, cuz it was a shitty album save for a couple of decent tracks.

it was a decent book i thought, i also liked it mainly for the background info on members. it's good just to check back for reference though, about the NO wave bands etc... plus the pictures/posters are pretty cool as everyone has mentioned.

still, a new sonic youth book would be nice. i think confusion is next has been out of print for years, i found mine on amazon pretty cheap though.
