Cut Shorts: Short Films and Music Videos by David Markey from 1974-2004 - will be released on June 27th.
This compilation represents 30 years of work from independent filmmaker David Markey. From his beginnings as a pre-teen experimental film auteur to his music videos for major labels, Cut Shorts displays Markeys unique and askewed view. Markey employs a frenetic Documentary-style approach mixed with punk fiction on the dime. He feverishly produced these backyard films much like the Do-It-Yourself attitude found in punk zines and bands. Featuring Thurston Moore, Kim Gordon, Jordan & Jennifer Schwartz, & Sofia Coppola Music by Devo, Ciccone Youth, Sonic Youth, The Shaggs, The Posies, Abby Travis & others.

David Markey is great. I went to his 'Desperate Cinema' festival last year and met the guy- he's really friendly. 'Adolf 1990' deserves mention, since it's as true now as it was then.
