Sonic Youth makes their first announcement of live shows for 2007 beginning with these 2 dates on the East Coast:

February 14 Northampton, MA | The Academy of Music
Tickets available at noon on January 12 from tix.com

February 16 New York City | Webster Hall
Tickets available at noon today(1/10) from ticketweb.com

And then, as previously announced, the band travels to Japan in April to play three times with the tremendous Vooredoms:

April 17 Osaka | Namba Hatch
April 18 Nagoya | Diamond Hall
April 20 Tokyo | Studio Coast
Tickets for all (3) Japan shows are available on Saturday(1/13) from smash-jpn.com

And finally, 2 shows in Mexico have been confirmed, more information coming soon...
