EMMAh - since it is easy to convert imitation guns to shoot live rounds, even banning "real" guns would ultimately not be the answer. It's more a real and permanent change of attitudes towards guns that needs to happen.

guns are okay in the right hands. I've shoot assault rifle in the army and it was pretty fun for the first time.

melly, banning guns shouldn't be the only action. of course more money on mental healthcare, more school psychologists, guys getting laid more and stuff.

punkaspoo - I don't think that banning guns is simply the answer either. Some people are very responsible with them, and others shouldn't be let within miles of 'em. Getting laid would definitely be a good gun avoidance thing for some blokes!

I know a guy who's going to Afghanistan in October who joined just so he could go kill brown people.

what does a civilian do with hand guns? nothing. Let them shoot but only at shooting range, where the firearms should stay.

army is mandatory here so I really had no choice. I went four months before they sent me home for medical reasons. I have to go back in a few years.

I would be responsible with a gun and I still wouldn't want one. What's the point? I don't need a gun to protect me and I think archery would be a better, more rewarding time than going to a shooting range.

well you could go to civilian service but it's over a year, when the time in army is from 6-12 months. i wanted to get the faster way.
and third option is jail
