Sonic Youth TV appearances - UK

OK, the ATP thing on Channel 4 is repeated at 1.35am on sunday morning (or saturday night, you dig?)
then, on thursday at 9pm, sonic youth takeover mtv2 and play some choice videos apparently.

dunno what's going on with the programme tonight dudes... the sky digital onscreen TV guide now states that 9pm is Futureheads takeover... the MTV2 website still maintains that it is sonic youth... i have a horrible feeling that it might be futureheads...

according to this weeks guardian guide, tuesdays (6th june) simpsons, channel 4, is the homerpolooza/sonic youth episode.

Wait a minute...what teh hell was that. Where did SY appear?

SY is definitely in the Homerpalooza episode. If you didnt notice them, then yr crazy. Or stoned. There is a scene where Peter Frampton is playing on stage and he tries to activate his giant inflatable pig via a footpedal on stage. Since Homer broke the machine earlier in the episode, it doesn't jettison the pig. Frampton gets all pissed off and yells, "Dammit! Homer Simpson breaks my pig, Cypres Hill steals my orchestra and Sonic Youth is in my cooler". Cut to SY at the corner of stage left rummaging through Framptons cooler. Frampton yells, "Get out of there you kids!"

Later in the episode after Homer chickens out of being shot with a cannonball, Lee ramarks, "Oh man, Homer woussed out! I'm so dissilussioned!"

That knobhead who was in the 80's garb was just atrocious. He is one of them knobheads whose only doing the whole music thing for attention. That other one 'cex' I think it was where also a disgrace. Idiots both of them. On a plus note, Albini is the complete opposite of those waste of spaces that the aforementioned are.
