Lucky. NY'ers. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs put on a good live show. But they shouldn't be headlining.

I couldn't be more unlucky. I'm living in the city through August 5th. I couldn't get CBGB tickets, and now I can't see two of my favorite bands.

I am giving major props to the Youth though for adding more NY shows. It just figures it doesn't work with my schedule.

Oh...I also meant to mention how cool this is b/c in the latest issue of Bust (I believe that's what it was called) YYY are on the cover and in the interview, they ask the band where they see themselves in 10 years, and Karen mentioned only SY as the inspiration to be able to continue putting out good music for over a decade.

Ahhh... The old "concert in a pool" trick. I haven't seen this one in a while. The way this works is that the band sets up their stage at poolside, while the audience is in the empty pool, looking up at them. Then, halfway through the show, they fill up the pool and you get soaking wet! Then the band looks down and laughs at you, knowing they've taken all your money for nothing.

No way I'm falling for THAT again!
