The above is a bit unlikely, but there's plenty enough places one can get free in London for an evening. A Tuesday night in bleakest Hackney for a load of Sonic Youth afficionnados. Actually, there's a fair few squats/ artist pad type places in South London that'd be good. Any dubsteppers on board?

A return ticket from Minneapolis to London can't be that expensive.I read that from July there might be the first budget worldwide airline in operation.Accomodation wouldn't certainly be a problem but i'm more worried about the food situation.Well,not really.

Yeah, the plane tickets are the killer.
Plus if I were to come with a band, there is all kinds of hassle.
Mr Metzger and I have toyed with the idea of touring over there together though, which would be not only fun but much easier.
That may happen, actually, but not certain just when at the moment.

If you're serious Mr Clone then I can probably get you a few gigs in various places and places to stay. There's absolutely no way I'm stumping up for a ticket, unfortunetely. And if I could afford to bring American bands to play for me, I'm afraid that NNCK would be a little higher on my 'want' list. As would the Shaggs.

In fact, fuck it, I'm investing in a time machine to bring back the Shaggs when they were young so they can play for me. I might even invite Prussian Blue and the 12-yr-old Beenie Man for a support slot. Just for the giggles, you understand.

I actually tried to get them for a gig near me prior to ATP, as I only live up the road. Their promoter never got back to me. Turns out I wasn't the only person trying to book them at that time. Boring story, but true.

You'd probably be surprised how easy it is to set up gigs. You'd also be surprised how quickly a bad reputation can ruin your ability to book anyone ever grows.

It's always better to have more people in the audience than in the band.

Playing solo is a good way to increase your chances in my experience.
