I obviously agree with the points about the problems caused by a target-driven society but I'm struggling to see what any of that has to do with how your muslim friends feel about your homosexuality.

They have nothing to do with each other, of course. I just like it how being a Muslim offends you, especially if you're gay.

These are the same muslims who impose a death penalty for sodomy, as homosexuality is an illegal activity under Sharia. You'd be buggered if the muslim community in the UK managed to persuade the UK government to integrate it into the legal system (pun intended).
