Dead Kennedys are one of my all time favorite bands. It's really a compliment to be even slightly compared.

Well, I didn't mean that as a direct comparison, I jsut noticed a resemblance between the 2 songs... It's a looooong way (for everyone, not for soapbars' band) to achieve a "DK-like" status.

Sounds like a mix of influences to me. Not unlike Battles or Liars, but also the Stones, Stooges, Pixies, My Bloody Valentine, Velvet Underground--all come immediately to mind. I even hear a bit of the Trashmen and the Electric Prunes, maybe some Byrds.

I really love the guitar work, reminds me of Goo era Sonic Youth. The vocals for some reason bring to mind Jarvis Cocker. What do you play Soapbars?

In all seriousness, what I did not like was the Goo guitars. If something is so derivative that it makes you immediately think of the source of inspiration, I'm not sure that's good.
