BaDonGo is annoying, but for some reason YSI has been giving me problems lately.

In my experience Badongo typically works alot smoother than YSI.

Actually, a few months ago i got a strange urge to listen to celebrity skin . i searched everywhere and found the case - thats when i remembered that i didnt just throw it out , i broke it up and attempted to melt it . though i HAD listened to it a few times before doing so , so i knew the songs...

...so, when i downloaded it just out of the whim i ended up liking a bunch of the songs. maybe just because it'd been a good 7+some years since it came out , its probably only out of the emotional attatchment to the time . but it is catchy in certain moods . i mean hell , billy corgan does know how to write a catchy song at least.

good sister/bad sister has always been a favorite from POTIS .

darthblav ain't too shabby
i like that billy corgan wrote most of celebrity skin. i think you can really tell in the guitar style. is it also rumored that cobain wrote live through this, correct? i definitely hear nirvana in that album, but maybe i am reading into more.

i can't believe we are talking about this band, i reallly don't like give courtney love any musical attention.

I can't think of many songs that would take me more than five minutes to figure out. I enjoy playing old country a lot, but most of my time is devoted to scores (which are necessarily more difficult) and improvising (scales practice a must).

I find e-bows reprehensible and boring to use. I'm more of a fan of controlled feedback.

I think ebows have a much wider range of techniques than people realize, but I will say that I did not replace my ebow when it disappeared and I don't miss it. You can only use them so much.
I think those guitars with sustainer pickups are pretty damn cool though. You get all that infinite sustain, but you can do chords and other such things with it. Much cooler.

I've been playing acoustic guitar for about 30 years. Many, many rock/pop/folk songs are built around the same or similar chord progressions, so I know a lot of basic or classic songs and their structures and can eaily pick up others that are like them.

What gets challenging, though, is trying to learn songs that were written in alternative tunings.

I know a lot of songs, but the ones I usually crank up the stereo and play along with Dino Jr's You're Living All Over Me, Grateful Dead's Live/Dead and some select Hendrix.

I've dabbled around with my guitar about 7 months and it shows...

I know the chord progression of Cast a Shadow by Beat Happening.

Yeah I'm self-taught.....most drummers are. The best advice I can give is pretty obvious......practice, practice, practice. I also like to lift weights because it helps keep up my stamina. Pay attention to the beats/rhythms to everything you listen to and it's helpful to visualize where each sound is coming from the kit.....sounds kind of obvious, but the more aware you are to where each sound is coming from, the better/more precise you'll be. I'm always tapping out beats with my fingers like a nutcase, so that helps as well.
