and as mentioned above, De La Soul. The album Bahloone Mindstate is genius.

Haha, Del is hilarious. I always wondered if it's somewhat related to the song "3000" by Dr.Octogon, which pretty much has the same content. And if you like Del, you should definitely check out Dr.Octogon - Dr.Octogoly. It's terrific and the beats are dope.

I have to listen to De La Soul more

. I have one of their albums, but only listened to it once due to having a kajillion new artists to listen to

yeah, I have Dr. Octogon, but I couldn't get into as much as I wanted to. Dan is a super-producer, but I'm not sure he's cut out for MC work.

seriously though, you can't go wrong with De La Soul.

I know! I think I'm going to listen to it tonight then. Dan is an excellent beatmaker, it somewhat reminds me of Cannibal Ox's beats
