Off topic,i know,but Nena's german roots somehow reminded me of Nina Hagen and this website about her wich is excellently designed.I just wish i could read german.

nah, the german one flows and has original lyrics.

the english lyrics version isn't a close translation but has almost entirely different content. i've always thought it was really cheesy, it sounds like it was done in 15 minutes. on top of that it just doesn't flow that much like it does in the original version. just compare the two:
