I've got 25 bucks to spend at Chapters and have no clue what to buy.
I like books about:
doggies
drugs
crazy people
people with fucked up ideas
I'll think of more later.

You know the drill...

Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky
The Trial by Franz Kafka
The Plague by Albert Camus

those are my three favourite books, at the moment at least. I'm assuming you've read On the Road, but you need to if you havent.

The Trail isn't really a pleasure read though (neither is Dostoevsky or Camus (even if they are good books in other respects)))...I'd suggest something else...
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is where it's at, if I know you (which I probably don't). In fact, any of Thompson's novels.
Douglas Adam's for some fun. Maybe even a William Gibson novel.
Or get a non-fiction book on a musical genre or band.

well, yeah, but if you want something to think about, then go for those. The Trial is actually a really easy read, so is the Plague to an extent. Crime and Punishment is a little more difficult though.

Have you read On the Road emma?

I didn't think The Trail was that easy...at least grasping the meaning of it (which I fear I missed),

I love Fear and Loathing. I wanna read The Rum Diary but I'm not going to buy that cause my friend has it.

No, I haven't. I couldn't really understand the info I read on it though, what's it about?
