Nothing wrong with this poll, despite the obvious differences. I would go with Nurse, which I think is way underrated. In fact, it might be my favorite of their last four records. Really... No, I'm serious...

i think you can't really compare them, they both are great albums but they both have different styles. still i thin i'd go fooooor... Confusion is Nurse

confusion is sex is probably my most listened sy album, i listen to it a lot and love the darkness to it, also the violence and primal urgency whithin. plus they have amazing songs, which they could have just not care about and gone just with the atmosphere.
sonic nurse has a lot of high points and very few low points (dude ranch nurse, paper cut exit), but overall, a mellow album with amazing use of dissonance and noise in restrain. also includes one of my fav sonic youth songs because it is a direct contrast to what they have always done and are known for: peace attack. |
