yeah but there is a catch, to be "protected" in the County is to be isolated and locked down, and in reality it is TEN times worse then just dealing with the GP folks cuz you go fucking bonkers by yourself.. surprisingly though, the women's facility in Lynwood is about as jumpin as the Men's, a lot of wild, crazy bitches in there..

yes, food is a problem, also a big deal with all the gang violence which is immensely concentrated in that mofo.. the main drag about the county is that you can't just do your time cuz you haffe deal with all that fucking drama and "politics" up in there..

Jail is jail, but the LA County is perhaps the worst in the US, and is truly and honestly comparable with any fucked up dungeon in all of the world..

womens prisons are often more violent than mens (apart from young offenders) which are always going off. only the maximum security prisons in the uk have the same or worse incidents of violence and in womens prisons burnings and scaldings are far more common. i used to work in a prison so i have some knowledge of them.

saw the aftermath of a jugging (boiling water mixed with sugar) that some poor sod had thrown in his face. i worked in the education/admin part so was away from the cons most of the time but i heard an awful scream and the bells all started going off something told me this was different to the usual and so it was.
