How about some Kurosawa? You can't go wrong with "Rashomon", "Yojimbo" or "The Sevn Samuri" all excellent films.

and while, sure enough, kill bill got massive media coverage and big turnovers, to say it's not as good as [insert any movie title] it's just wrong. i think kill bill is my fav tarantino movie (by a hair really)

i recently saw Pi. It was neat but not "fucking amazing" as everbody claims it is.

I really like city of lost children and amelie but i have yet to see Delicatessen. Aliens Resurection isn't all that great. What else has Jeunet done?

You can't go wrong with some Werner Herzog. Aguirre Wrath of God, Stroszek and a personal favorite, Even Dwarfs Started Small. Or how about some Marx Brothers? Or the original Dawn of the Dead? Or,or,or,or...

"City of Lost Children" is a damn near masterpiece, I love that movie so much, "Delicatessen" is also great, but "COLC" blows it out of the water, such an amazing film.
