Munich 23/4

So another excellent show by Sonic Youth. Really speciall venue, white walls and film pieces running behind the stage throw the whole set.
The band wasn´t very chaty, the basically did their songs. I don´t know if this was to become more of art thing, you know maybe didn´t want to take fokus of their songs and pictures in the background.
But even so they played a great show, the new songs where really tight, don´t remember any names but the played maybe like 6 or 7 i think. I rember being really amazed of atleast 4 of them(Can´t wait for The Eternal)
Of the old ones it was Bull in the heather, Cross the breeze, Hey Joni, 100%, Jams run free, Pink Steam(wich ended the first set) and Expressway(wich ended the show) after Expressway followed a really beutiful long noice jam.

But a really cool venue(or is was just a big room, wich didn´t had any concerts before i think) But the surrondings was great, and the bar was high quality beer and bootles of red and white wine, and there were alot of art people there aswell So a very mixed crowd

And someone taped the whole set with a proffesionel camera + doing interviews with the crowd afterwords so some form of a realese would probally happen.

Anyway really excited for tonights show in Dusseldorf, more to come tomorrow!

Oh how lovely =D I wonder when it will be released or broadcast or whatever.. do you mean pro-shot instead of crappy audience recordings?

Yepp Pro shot. It was not a huge camera but a pretty big with i mic on top so. And it was filmed from the left, at the soundboard

No didn´t bring it to munich, basically becuse it was just a big plain floor And since it was filmed It didn´t matter either=)

I might ad that they played she is not alone as their first song. I´ve never heard that one before and they was singin she is not alone all the time, so I guess it was it.

ok so i was there too but i didnt really like this show and the main reason for it was the sound! the acoustics were shit! it was echo/reverb all over!
first i was in the first row and i thought that was the problem but for the encore i went in the back a little and it wasnt very good there either.
maybe im just dissapointed cause i wanted to follow the band to dusseldorf the next day, but i found out that train tickets cost 200euros wtf?:
(my flight from budapest with lufthansa cost me 100 euros just in comparison)
anyways i have some good pictures i made from kim and thruston.. will post them asap

lukin you forgot to mention that they started the show with 'she was not alone' !!!

Yes, you have to buy your train tickets very early (I guess at least two weeks earlier than the day you want to take the train), then they become a bit cheaper. Like from 29 to 89 Euros.

Ye i got mine for 29 euros, but then i was looking every day at bahn.de so I could get them right away when they where realesed, they were gone pretty fast
