Yup. Also beach stuff. There's good in every subgenre, but there's also a whole lot of shit. I've about had it with the dreary, lo-fi, mountain-folk (I'm looking at you Bon Iver!)

The one thing I realised this year is that there is a plethora of music from the 60s and 70s that I haven't discovered yet which bears attentive listening.

Tonight I've heard Amon Duul II's 'Yeti' and Cluster's 'Cluster II' for the first time and I have no idea why they've never been on my radar before now.

That's been true for me too. I've been rediscovering a lot of old stuff. Particularly the black female vocal groups of that era. Grrrl-power!
