The thing is, you've just assumed that everyone criticising the Mail is thereby a 'Guardianista'. As it happens, people here are much more cynical of such leftist bollocks as the Guardian (in spite of most people here being faintly on the left). Not liking the Mail really is a matter of being able to see through transparent, convoluted, poisonous bile. Not liking right-wing papers is a different thing - I'd be very surprised if anyone could mount a meaningful criticism of the Torygraph.

I realise you have absolutely no intention of entering into a serious dialogue, so this post is for decorative use only.

the guardian is too right wing for me. keeping it simple is like something out of ridiculously exaggerated opposite of me world, using the argument that the mail sells more as a sign of its superiority whereas if anything i would cite that as an indication of the opposite. i don't really think you can read that paper and say 'there, that was sane, impartial and informative journalism. i don't think you can read it and say 'this was worth the trees cut down and time spent on it, i may not agree with it but i at least respect it' i don't think you can read it and say 'burning, using for animal toilet paper or otherwise destroying this newspaper is morally incorrect'.

No matter what you say about the paper, you'll always be in the minority. Maybe it's that fact that sticks in your graw the most.

Whoah there nelly. You've cited the number of Mail readers as 2,178,640. A quick Google search suggest the population of the UK as 61,399,118. That's 34%, give or take. That is a large amount, but by no means is that the majority (although it'll like get cunt-face Cameron in next year). In fact, that's still a minority in most statistics.

Also, I use flamboyant rhetoric. It's the internet. You use hectoring non-sequiturs, which is about as elegant as a particularly dead whore.

the mail seems to now be reduced to alternating between support our troops, bad labour minister and this food/drug causes/prevents cancer headlines. who is the person 'outraged' and 'shocked' by this latest 'scandal'? why it's mrs. aspirant middle england of course - and she's a fat stressed 40something hen with a short haircut and a mean psychotic lazy mind, always on the desperate hunt for someone to launch her poorly considered cries of hypocrisy at, in permanent seige mentality and at permanent war with all these ones trying to tell us what to do! trying to tell us to use metric or taking away our rightful enjoyment of our superior status as the great british empire! Yes you mrs. itv drama sponsored by go compare. You're crusty heart palpitates faster and faster as you wait for that sacred moment when someone pauses after calmly explaining something to you and you can burst out with your 'ah ha! i knew deep down you're as full of hate and greed and violence as me!' bit, but that's not what you say you say 'oh you're just trying to get me to believe what you say and do what you want and of course i should do what you say because if we didn't do what we were told and follow the rules the sky would fall in but i won't accept any authority that doesn't offer me a self destructive risk or the opportunity to take it out on someone else! but i can think for myself! Particularily when i've just read a copy of the mail, i find i have lot's of things to get angry about then!' or maybe your bit about 'ah, if we treat the other in this way they'll just take advantage of us so we must always treat them as evil and assume the worst! we're all savages that's why we need our manners!' always looking for excuse to lash out at what's alien and too far from your incestuous comfort zone. people can't be trusted, all those complex words and arguments they use, 'there's no way anyone can have altruistic intentions when i'm so guilty. sometimes the pr just isn't true and i don't know who to trust.' well mrs, of course you're gonna get cancer, it is in fact the daily mail itself giving you cancer by riling you up into a self righteous illogical racist rage when your feeble brain spots the 'common sense' talking point and the stress of being such a pyschotic idiot drives you to 'pamper' yourself with 20 benson a bottle of coke and a kingsize cadbury fruit and nut since you're on a diet. unfortunately, noone at work today said much to you, no matter how much you put on an over the top simulation of niceness in order to have an excuse to bitch about anyone who didn't buy into it. unfortunately the boss didn't ask you to do anything for him today, so you could demonstrate your fierce blind loyalty to his authority while plotting and gossiping behind his back. unfortunately your husband won't eat you out anymore, because let's face it, you're not as young as you used to be and being a haggard spiteful old bitch is all you have left since you can't look like a young celebrity and don't have the imagination to desire anything else. oh wait, what's that? a lump? if only there was some way to blame this one on the foreigners.

You have a pathological hatred for The Daily Mail which prompts you to get on your soapbox to make clear the dogmatic prattle that's been programmed into you by people who think politically opposite to the paper whenever it gets a mention on the net.

It's no secret the Left has tried for years to hijack message boards throughout the net in the hope of swaying the impressionable towards their way of Marxist thinking. It ain't working, is it?

Who are you referring to? n'ik is hard-left (if he'll excuse me being prescriptive), I'm closer to centre-left with a lot of right leanings. You appear to be operating as a right-wing conspiracy antagonist with little in the way of humour or point. If it is an elaborate joke then, well done. Please return to calling people gay on youtube.

and what about little miss guardianista herself? that enlightened postmodern being always ready to demonstrate her nihilism as stand in for experience and cynicism as cover for feeble submission to evil. 'i think it's really important to listen to people's opinions!' because that way we stay in endless circular debate forever! 'hmmm, yeah i think then if you feel strongly about the war you should be allowed to disagree with it. what? i don't know? what am i supposed to do about it?' oh you think you're some sort of something do you?' cue cynical mocking. 'don't you know we can't be or do anything anymore because we're all too busy doing what we want which is sex sugar booze and me!' 'i'm into hollywood endings so i will live forever and sit com socialising. but i think it's so important you express yourself and follow your dreams. Please don't make me think! then i'll get all depressed! i feel so guilty about my confusion and insincerity! I'm into art and music i'm creative let someone else deal with all that shit! don't you know how special i am and how much i beleive in healthy eating! since us rich white people rule and will rule for eternity we should be nice to those blacks and gays and all those other people below us. i'm so random and quirky and i wish i could never speak, like kate moss. I'm a progressive things are always getting better in the same way as the technology in my mobile phone is, you just have to believe. we should all be green it's our fault and responsibility as everything can be remedied by consumerism, you wouldn't want to be like those chavs who don't recycle and don't look like adds do.'

i know i had you on ignore but i couldn't resist this one! spreading marxist science is a worthwhile thing to do on a message board, altho what i was saying had nothing to do with marxism. why anyone would be secretive about spreading marxism boggles the mind. yep, i do hate the daily mail pathologically i guess. i don't let it bother me tho, many on the left get bogged down in endless mail hating and attacking and grow to develop the very irrational hatred they so despise in the paper itself. you can waste a lot of energy on shit like the mail. thank you for pointing this out to me, i shall in the future endeavour to spend more time spreading marxism and take as seriously the mail's journalistic travesties as one would the ravings of a delerious crack head. now if you'll forgive my assumption, you've never read marx have you? marx is merely a signifier of something bad you disagree with and feel confident enough to use without truly understanding. why, you might even say this attitude was 'programmed' into you by other people who may have never read marx but must know enough to be able to completely dismiss him or else they wouldn't be so confident about it. you're in for a real treat should you choose to read marx, altho i suspect you won't need to because he's a pseud or something. do you mind if i ask where your disagreement with marxism lies and what you do agree with in its place?

I spot a troll. Nobody on the right REALLY uses the term "loony left". I don't think even the Mail has used it since 1989.
