I'm afraid that my mix tape won't be received well. I listened to it today and I like it, but oh well, whatever. It won't have a track listing, I guess I'll explain it here after the person receives it.

I hope I get Noumenal's. I can only imagine it'd be entirely contrary to what most people would do. I haven't started mine, but it'll be done by mid-week.

Erm, it's all instrumental and the title is "Thesis-Antithesis-Synthesis," which is meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

Haha, Ligeti was left on the cutting room floor this time around. Seriously, I considered putting some on there, but decided against it.

My ideas for future mix tapes:

1. all country-influenced music
2. a ton of short, maybe less than 90sec, tracks
3. different covers of one song
4. all songs featuring a certain instrument, like horn or hammond organ, or clavinet
5. arias from Baroque operas....OK, I wouldn't do that
6. dudes with weird singing voices
7. tracks having to do with Jesus's crucifixion

Hey, if you add a little somethin-somethin to the package, I'll make that happen.

I tried to make a southern country tape this time, but after one side I found myself straying into the deep abyss of my record collection and pulling out the usual suspects like Pavement and Belle and Sebastian. I really suck at making tapes, most of the time.

Round 3, side one was mostly world, with side two being contemporary avant things. It never arrived. I'm tempted by a world mix for this one, but have actually come up with a better idea which I'm keeping close to my chest.
