Dude, you've got to flip it, plain and simple. "Give thanks for life, shout it!" Midnite Prize your name, and prioritize the way you talk.. Depression is real, this is why the Buddha rightfully observed that life is suffering. The Doctors of the Church equally observed this phenom, and called it a "fracture between the feeling heart/soul and reasoning mind." The mind runs away with so many fretful "what-ifs" that it blocks our perception of the sheer gift of life. Never lose site of that fact, life is beautiful, even in the midst of horror and fear. Life was beautiful even in Auchwitz, and folkz there learned that lesson. Life is what it is.. We have two options: (A) To get ourselves more and more upset (B) To embrace the beauty of life itself, flaws and all, and let our souls be content to simply live whereas our minds are always criticizing reality. By the way, mushrooms are not evil, just revelatory to this fact, that life is beautiful in all its ways. Of course, I NEVER RECOMMEND folks eat mushrooms without the spiritual guidance of a trusted spiritual warrior when they are depressed, because Mushrooms will only point out what upsets us most, so that we can recapitulate and heal. By the way, the key is to let go. Let life live itself without pretensions. If it is God, let it go to God. If it just the pure roll of the dice of reality, accept that too. Either way, the key to life is to realize that EVERYTHING is out of our control, and when we embrace the flow, we find out like creatures in a tide pool that wait for their meals to be dredged up from the depths of the sea by an influx of warm water currents or a plant patiently growing on the perch of some cliff side steadily waiting for what it needs for life, we too are the same. Perhaps our mobility pushes us to be afraid sometimes of life, but life is a beautiful gift. By the way, the Doctors of the Church had two insights, firstly that we are fractured and broken and need healing which takes time, and (B) that we are given an eternity to sort all this out, there is no such thing a suicide, the illusion of physical death is merely a transition, a phase-shifting like liquid water into a gas, but we will be ourselves beyond that, even if we don't understand it. The sooner we come to grips with that, the better, because we will only keep finding ourselves waking up deeper and deeper into cosmic selves.. Hold it down. Keep the faith, even if it is just faith in the beauty of life itself.

That is not true, folks may not be burning up outside, but the burn of a broken heart is altogether more cataclysmic... Only perfect love can soothe and heal the burn..
