Can anyone recommend a good USB turntable that converts records to mp3 and plays them through iTunes or another media player? I have been looking online and found a few reviews and none seem to be very consistent. Does anyone know any that are good from experience? Any sites with good reviews? I am looking for one under $200...

Thanks. Much love.

You're better off getting a regular analog turntable, getting a phono stage preamp, & hooking those into whatever sound recorder you use for yr PC.

Anyway you go, you should checkout...

JRMusic world has some of these, I think Ion is the standard, but I suspect you get what you pay for...if you're just looking for MP3-level quality these should do you fine. Personally, my classic technics goes into my Technics receiver, then I take one of the lines out and plug it into a Behringer device that allows me to plug it into my USB and capture audio with Audacity.

The numark pt-01 usb turntable. Its like 110.00USD. It has rca jacks,1/8 headphone, and stereo headphone jack and a usb outlet. Plus it can run on batteries only and is portable.
