I think one thing that the new board shows it that Sonic Youth is choosing not to fade away and wither on the vine. They, and the people around them, seem to want to keep the dream alive. And as long as they continue to put out relevant music, then GODSPEED!!!
New and updated venues mean a hell of a lot more than new formats, avatars or whatever. It shows a commitment to carry on into the future.
And I say....RIGHTEOUS!!!
