i think the more appropriate term is "love child", but then again, who knows.
i can see many advantage to such condition.
for one thing, there is lust in your bloodline, which is such a healthy instinct. none of that "life is worthless and not worth continuing" crap genes in you.
and second, and perhaps more importantly, it looks like nature wanted to make you no matter what. sort of like the legendary bastard king arthur. rather than being born out of conventional arrangements, there was some greater force behind your creation.
