You can get that kind of a mix in Chicago (Chicago-Style) - but it's caramel and cheddar... so savory and sweet, but not salty and sweet (closest thing I can think)... though I have noticed adding candy to popcorn is becoming a thing in Canada (M&Ms in popcorn, for example).
