I bought it when it was released in 1985, and I remember the whole fuss about their name and having to change it because of the Dinosaurs.

Subsequent reissues had Dinosaur Jr written on the cover, but the spine still said just Dinosaur. I saw that as their act of defiance, although it may have just been an oversight.

I didn't think the album was anything special, and certainly not as good as the stuff bands like Screaming Trees and Husker Du were doing at the time. It was only when they released You're Living All Over Me that they really hit their stride.
