Seriously though, some of you guys are chronically ignorant about music in general. If you've been listening to Sonic Youth all this time and convinced yourselves that Pavement or Truman's Water are the pinnacle of eccentric taste, think twice, you're just as narrow-minded as before because you're now feeling complacent to the point you’ve stopped noticing that your curiosity does have a limit, after all. I mean, for someone to dismiss all ''Asian music'' because it sucks, so blatantly and unashamedly on a public forum, it proves once more that 90% of music fans, to semi-quote John Sharkey, are some of the worst people in the world.
Also, people who make such claims imply that ''Asian music'' is a cauldron filled with sounds produced by all Oriental musicians in the same vein, with the same intents, and little in terms of different artistic and geographical attitudes towards music-making. It doesn’t really take long to go on the internet and compare Aunt Sally to, say, G.I.S.M. or KK Null etc.
