In a 2010 interview of Thurston and Eva Prinz in Imprint at printmag.com Thurston said that about ten years ago Eva, an editor for an established publishing house, asked Kim to do a book, but Thurston was the one who was into "book lust" (his term) so Kim told Eva to ask him to do a book. Thurston and Eva did several books together. He says, "We got along really well and had a lot of mutual interests and friends." The book Mix Tape was Eva's idea, he says. They've done a few interviews together, one includes an arty photo in which they are holding hands, as Thurston balances a vintage typewriter on his head. Is the hand-holding symbolic of Poetry joining with publishing, or were they drinking? Eva was photographed with Kim at a party in 2009. A Jan. 2011 interview with Eva at PMc-mag.com is interesting. quote=Toilet & Bowels]Who is Eva Prinz?[/quote
