Hippy music became normalized - real hardcore punk was NEVER normalized, some of it go stolen by metal and thrash bands, but the pure hardcore music so stylized on this record by gang Green and Jerry's Kids never got corporatized. So my point is hardcore still sounds new in some ways, and underground. Certainly it is not as heavy as say Earth Crisis or someone like that.
