I'm curious to hear how the album will sound, particularly since the "new" songs (any actual titles yet for "I Love You Forevermore" "Speak to the Wild" or the instrumental?) were all recorded back in March in what I presume was a quick Neil Young-style "learn/record" process. Having said that, the March gigs I watched (with James and Steve) seemed a little unfocused, and I found myself enjoying the songs more in gigs with just Thurston and James playing guitar (extremely similar parts, at that). That had a much more hypnotic togetherness that I didn't get out of the trio sets I watched on youtube.

Having said that, Steve is obviously an excellent candidate to slide right into a jam/learn/record situation with Thurston...I just hope the songs are a little tighter on the record (I'm assuming the tracks recorded in March were done as a live quartet with Deb in studio).
