Is it like that? Is it worth doing? If so, for what reasons. I'm far too busy sitting at my desk, not working, posting poorly received threads on internet fansites to bother with something that isn't guaranteed to be awesome.

I don't know what Pandora is like. I mostly just scrobble tracks that I'm playing from my own cds or files on my pc (as you play the songs they are posted to yr profile page) but you can also listen to the music from the site itself and get recommendations to similar types of music etc or listen to yr friends favourite tracks and radio stations... and it's a good way to meet like minded people.
