I'd say the left column was dynamics for the songs - there's a dimminuendo mark on the last one. The right column is probably something similar to the 'ABAB' markings for jazz drums, with the asterisks at the bottom marking particular variations. The first line's clearly semiquavers. This much might be obvious already. I'd suggest it's probably a mnemonic system rather than actual scores - each character probably represents something so she can remember, rather than directly representing what she's playing.

I'd imagine that someone who reads Japanese will tell me I'm hideously wrong now.
