Han Solo does not 'yield' the force!

maybe you should start calling them LAZERSWORDS though!

everything changed after Empire Strikes Back. that was the point where Lucas realized that he actually could sell all of his movies. before that, he didn't think that there be anything after "V" (let alone A New Hope). after that, he decided to gain a strangle-hold on content. anything published in books, comics, games, etc. became canon. the most noticeable deviation is Alan Dean Foster's Splinter of the Minds Eye. THAT book is all kinds of fucked up...

we should talk about the new Star Trek movie and what THAT did to the future-past...

The point where Lucas lost it was when he thought the whole Jedi thing was what made the first Star Wars great. It wasn't. Han Solo, Chewbacca, Tusken Raiders, Stormtroopers, the Death Star, C3P0 and R2D2, X Wing Fighters, the Millennium Falcon, Imperial Cruisers, the monster in that garbage vault. I never gave a shit about the Force. The Star Wars saga went down hill with the introduction of Yoda.
