Anyone picked this new Ecstatic Peace disc up yet? I read a synopsis that made allusions to a more dissonant no wave sound so decided to get it...
The first three tracks are awesome. Track one and two are cosmic rock jams leaking feedback.. quite thrilling.. track three touches on some no wave free jazz territory with utterly weird vocalisation... the last two tracks are extended electronic meltdowns... on first listen I was dismayed and felt that the CD was disappearing up it's own ass... listening again, they are actually quite good tracks, well paced with their own odd rhythms... samples and modulated sounds intertwining in a warm zen bath...
