Yesterday I watched a documentation on TV, which addressed the issue of absent sex education in school in some parts of the US. I'm not sure, how many states in fact face this situation, but apparently it's something of an issue, cause some people interviewed claimed, that the lack of sex education (and the accompanied condemnation of the use of condoms) would lead to numerous unintentional pregnancies. For example a girl said, she would find out twice a week average about a girl, who recently got pregnant.

On the other hand some people stated, that sex education would be useless anyway, and teenagers would get sexually elucidated (?) elsewhere.

What do you think?

I personally have been sexually elucidated (?) by my sister and mother. Though, I'm sure sex education in school was uesful for me too.
