There already is a robot band... Captured! By Robots. One dude and a bunch of robots he built. They're kinda nerdy... it's like watching Mystery Science Theater on stage.
They don't have a "pretty big following"

Just a guess.
I'd probably rather listen to NOFX too.
Maybe I will swallow a mic and record my insides while listening to NOFX... how's that for innovation?
