lots of stuff has been sold as lsd, and it was common to add speed to the mix, i suspect that was confused with strychnine.
It is my belief real LSD e.g., Hoffman derived chemical structure - is no longer possible due to lack of precursors. I haven't talked to any old school trippers lately though. I don't run into many in NYC.
