There was a real ale 'festival' at a very-well-known chain of British purveyors of fine alcohols and no music on recently. I didn't clear the whole bar on that ocassion but I was astonished to find an American beer that wasn't awful. I don't suppose British ales travel either - do you have any perspective on the generally-held opinion by British ale-drinkers that yanks can't do it for shit?
