here in the desert we got swamp coolers which are a lot more economical than refrigerated air, but they do consume water (as they’re
evaporative coolers). air heat is transferred into water evaporation by blowing through a wet filter, you get cool air on the other side. pretty cool actually.
those wont work in houston though. water doesn’t have anywhere to evaporate at surrounding temps in 100% humidity. so, crank the ac.
