!@#$%!: since it's an english hybrid of words, it's called "smog", some people who are into "spanish-ation" of foreign words sometimes spell it like you did (other misspellings include "estandar" instead of "standard")...i don't believe in that.
the correct word for smog should be something like "nieblumo" or "humo/niebla" but smog is an international word used by meteorological experts, thus used when talking about it, like "marketing" instead of "mercadotecnia".
