That's pretty much spot on. I kept saying to myself, "but this is just...fucking incredible". I like a lot of avant-y sort of records (although that's a troubled term) but they rarely get much beyond a fairly cerebral appreciation. I find it near-impossible to talk about Galas without dribbling into hyperbole, but... when she's on form (and let's be honest, she can churn out guff as much as the next person) she just slays all.
