I got these in the mail yesterday:

X.O.4 - Cataracts LP
Emil Beauliau - Moonlight in Vermont LP

also awaiting the new Lambsbread LP which I should have got as well but which has been shipped off today. I also got an Arthur Doyle Quartet CD from the friends of the Peace section of the site. It all worked out at less then £30 including postage for 3 records and a CD after conversion including postage. pretty quick delivery from the States as well. so thumbs up (apart from the missing Lambsbread which has been promptly rectified).

The Cataracts LP is totally splendid. I wrote some notes listening to it:

abstract instrumental dirges sound as if constructed by forlorn aliens
basement clicks and pops at dusk under silent eyes
w/ ancient keys
decayed signals recieved somewhat intact
beautifully controlled distant dissonance
sad electronics ala MCIAA or Beaches and Canyons era Black Dice
silver cities under looming red skies
muffled twangs and string gurgle

Am currently blasting the Emil LP and it's sounding good. Well crafted harsh noise with an absurdist/dada bent which is reflected in the collage style handcrafted packaging. There are 400 copies, each with a unique cover created by Emil. You can check out a slide show of these on the ecstatic peace website. Ok, that's the end of my somewhat self-indulgent transmission
