Local Hero (10/10)
A completely irrational 10/10 but it's a film I still get nothing but joy from, even after seeing it countless times. Just a really lovely film.

Such a great film. Bill Forsyth is an under rated director of great little humanistic comedies. Even his "mainstream" effort, "Breaking In" with Burt Reynolds in the 80's, is pretty damn good. I wish his '87 film "Housekeeping" would get an official DVD release.
