I bet Gene knows he was name checked. he had the Melvins open for Kiss on tour after all, and played bass for them a couple times even. he's nothing if not savvy, he just forgets that "mom" doesn't mean quite what it used to. my son's mom has stripped on stage to both Sonic Youth and Led Zeppelin.
