i find the implicit fetishism/consumerism grating. is it so ingrained you don’t notice? anyway, that’s putting aside the merits of the actual album (i tend to side with the clone on this one) and the techno-absurdity of the actual proposition. “recommended listen” becoming “required purchase” is a twisted hyperbole i guess, especially on this century.
