i saw botero a million years ago so that i can't remember the year but he blew my mind at first and then got integrated to the rest of the landscape and i still like him, but now only from magazines/books/internet etc.

he used to remind me of gaugin a bit but then he did stuff like this

 

pretty ballsy to take on velazquez like that, ha ha ha. kill yr idols, yes? (or maybe not. i have a long story about that for another time.)
