Apple O is the beginning of the newer Deerhoof. Before they were a noise band with little glimpses of pop genius. All of their albums are loosely concept albums, or so they claim. Milk Man is of course a true concept album. Apple O' is my favorite. Milk Man is straight-forward but very good. The Runners Four is a polished version of the Apple O style.

One of the most original bands around today. And definitely one of the best drummers around.
