I'm actually letting my hair grow out from a 1mm hairstyle right now (it's been two years, it's a LONG process) and I mostly just went to hairdressers and told them my plan to grow my hair long again. They just "cleaned up" my head every time I went in, cut some hair off to make it look like SOME kind of haircut that would not look TOO weird as the hair grew. If I remember correctly they would just cut the sides a bit, a lot in the back (so i wouldn't have to walk around with a
vokuhila ). Now my hair is finally in a state in which it can just grow long without having to be cut every 3 weeks...
