Also, some of this newer shit isn't half bad. Check out Milk Music, who are possibly a bit more traditional, Meat Puppets/Replacements inspired indie rock, but really fucking good nonethess.

White Fence, the frequent Ty Segall collaborators, are not to be missed either.

And of course there's Thee Oh Sees, the preeminent garage rock band of the era, who really do continuously manage to make captivating and exciting variations on the genre. But I'm pretty sure everybody knows about them at this point.

And ditto on Heliotropes.
